Indo-German Institute of Technologies & Press Release Delegation Trip Science generating economies! This induced a delegation of 24 members to a trip to India starting on 15th January. Representatives of science (RWTH Aachen, University of Applied SciencesNiederrhein) and economy (DIAMANT Metallplastic, Reorg, both from Moenchengladbach, HuDe from Erkelenz, ess-mikromechanik from Stockach-Windegg, Joeckel Consulting from Fulda) are accompanied by German press. They are looking forward to meetings in the southern Indian industrial center of Bangalore with high-grade representatives of Indian sciences and economies. Innovative research and development ideas have been packed for cooperation projects with the Indian partners to develop to market requirements. Parallel they will show first results of their projects under construction to an auditorium at the international machine tool exhibition IMTEX’07 (hall 1, booth A 105). The center for contacts of economies and sciences is the Indo German Institute of Technologies at VTU – Bangalore (IGIT). The institute initiated by Achim Schulz (DIAMANT, MG) is the platform for application referring technology transfers of German and Indian economies and sciences. New rooms will be found at Jain-College now. "Indians are culturally much closer to us than the Chinese. The market is getting more and more important offering all opportunities for productive cooperations", says DIAMANT-CEO Achim Schulz. In Detail: VaryAir - a new way of production for extremely precise air bearings developed in cooperation between the machine tool laboratory WZL at RWTH Aachen and DIAMANT. 3D-Robotyping - today's state of the art are parts e.g. prototypes for engines, gear boxes or pumps made by "printed" plaster - the new method is decisively more favourable to produce prototypes faster and of higher qualities. These harder and more resistant materials are formulated by DIAMANT, accompanied academically by RWTH Aachen and by an Institute at University of Applied Sciences Niederrhein. Construvation - another project accompanied academically by the LMBau-Institute at RWTH Aachen is the development of materials in the Nano-Coatings-Technology for a repair/renovation method for old steel constructions and corresponding improvement that they will be save from corroding. IGetCar is introduced as a future project in cooperation with the institute IKA at RWTH Aachen by which automobile elements shall be formed from new material combinations. "Many German companies have settled in India after China, above all from the automoitive industries. We take the chance and evaluate the market", declares Bodo Streich, deputy CEO of HuDe Datenmesstechnik GmbH, Erkelenz. „The combination of sciences, technologies and economies found at IGIT is for us a comfortable platform. Here we find not only a professionally organised market entry but also contact partners understanding our high end technologies and also further developing and teaching at the same time in India. The Indo-German Office (IGO) under the umbrella of Governor Dieter Patt, Rhine-County Neuss - Governor Patt will not only accompany the activities of the Indo German Institute but will also be present for the inauguration of IGO at IGIT in Bangalore along with Juergen Steinmetz, his CEO of the Economical Development Department of Rhine-County Neuss.
