IGIT Module Precision Mouldings (sponsored by Sequa, Bonn, and BMZ, Bonn)
Master moulds were made from trans-parent plexi glass for all three Moulding Techniques and put into operation. Since then, hundreds of students of VTU as well as industrial users were trained in such moulding techniques with highest accuracies.
IGIT Module "Tribology" (sponsored by Sequa, Bonn, and BMZ, Bonn)
The test rig was built by FH Darmstadt acc. to plans made by Prof. Ekkehard Piwowarsky. The rig was sent to Banga-lore after Prof. Venkatesh Krishna and Eng. Gopal Srivastava were trained in Darmstadt.
This IGIT-Module was installed in the Vemana Institute at VTU in September 2004 and has been working since then successfully for tribology measurements. The test rig was further developed at IGIT and is produced in licence in India (http://expun.com)

Project "VaryAir" (sponsored by BMBF, Bonn, and AIF, Berlin)
The Patent for the machineless pro-duction of air bearings with different features is co-developed for productivity in cooperation between:
-DIAMANT ABCoating formulation team, - IGIT at VTU - Diamant-Triumph-Metallplastic and - Indian producer Magnum Engs.
Such VaryAir bearings shall be used in special applications when common bearings either cannot be constructed technically (eg. offset positions) or when inexpensive air bearings are in demand.
Projekt "RoboType!" (sponsored by BMBF, Bonn, and AIF, Berlin)
The idea of a 4D-Rapid Manufaxturing robot was initiated by DIAMANT and has been trade mark registered. A model is now being made by RWTHAachen, Institute for Machine Elements and Machine Design IME, chair Prof. Dr. Gold, by Dr. Ing. R. Schelenz, using DIAMANT Special Products as well as in cooperation with the IGIT at VTU, for special software developments, DTM and Indian end users.
RoboType! enriches 3D-Printing by the 4th Dimension (time) and will become an inexpensive 4D-Manufacturing so that series production in India will soon be in force.
