Project Description:
Interferometer serve for measuring of length, refractive indices, angles and spectroscopy to check interferences (overlapping light waves) for precison measurements.
There are different interferometes: minimum two light bundles are lead by means of mirrors through separated optical ways, at the end they are reflected by additional mirrors and re-united, the result being an inter-ferential sample (interference stripes or rings) which is described by the light waves as sample. This sample is de-fined by the difference of the optical ways of the single waves/rays to their re-unification.
Interferometers are used in physics, astronomy and measuring technologies in different ways, e.g.:
Twyman-Green-Interferometer: testing quality of lenses, mirrors etc.
- Mach-Zehnder-Interferometer and its forrunner
- Jamin-Interferometer:
modulation of light and measuring phase rotation
- Fabry-Pérot-Interferometer serves eg. as a high resolution spectro-meter for tight spectral lines
Sagnac-Interferometer to measure absolute rotation (laser gyroscope).
- Laser-Doppler-Vibrometer to measure swings
- Laserinterferometer to measure distances
Dr. Langenenbeck has recently de-veloped the OptriMate, an interfero-meter of the latest generation which can be used for triple applications. This is just being realized by ESS and will be manufactured by Prisms, India, for sales in Far East.
The global marketing will be done by IGIT-IGO for Far East and by ExportUNIon for the Western Hemisphere. |
